EP.22 Lost Lyrics 2

This
is part 2 of our interview with sun, a talented poet, singer, songwriter,
and visual artist who invited us to come check out the video release
party for her single Reach 4 the Sky. Whats cool about about this
song is that it was recorded with this alternative educational
program called Lost Lyrics. Lost Lyrics uses the hip-hop culture
as a base to teach the youth (age 11-18) understanding self-identity
and the complexities surrounding them in stigmatized communities.
The goal is to allow them the freedom to critically engage in issues
such as racism, sexism, consumerism and formal education. Mainstream
hip-hop has created some negative attributes of poor and/or minority
groups resulting in a lack of self awareness in young people. Lost
Lyrics enforces empowerment through alternative forms of hip-hop
like Djing, Rhyming, Writing, Break dancing, Graphetti, Performing
etc... Beautiful. |

EP.19 The Destination Shapes The Journey
|
It's
back to business as usual. It's Twenty-Ten and we gotta get "PUSH" out.
Before we get back to work, I (aLLeYNe) can't help but think back
to my time in Europe. Andrew my brother was also in Europe while
I was there, though we didn't get a chance to link up. However
he is the one who wrote and performed the spoken word poem divided
into four parts on the "PUSH" album. In this episode
he's not only going to perform the original recording but share
his photos of his journey. The poem is very deep, the perfect way
to start your journey into 2010. On behalf of tEMuS and I Happy
New Year!!! Wishing all the fans the best for a prosperous, healthy

EP.18 Trogir, Brac, Toronto
|
It's
the final leg of the journey for aLLeYNe. As much as he doesn't
want to leave he has to return to finish up the new album PUSH
with tEMuS. Trogir is like a smaller version of Split but still
unique. Brac has the best beach out of all the beaches…worth the
ferry ride. Then it's back to Toronto... |

EP.17 Split (The Beaches and the Underground Secret)
|
The
Beach. Nice weather, the adriatic sea's salt water, water soccer
polo, volley ball, girls, an ice cold beer, great music, kids laughing,
ships cruising by, sun tanning and not a single cloud in sight.
Not being a strong swimmer does not slow aLLeYNe from getting in
there and splashing about. Like a fish once in there is no getting
out!!! Plus aLLeYNe investigates the secret parts of Dioklecijans
Palace. |

EP.16 Split (Red Roofs and Green Grass)
|
F.Y.I.
aLLeYNe loves Split!!! Medieval Times. Mazes of narrow alleys and
old buildings modernized by the latest fashion stores, moms and
pops shops, delectable restaurants and course coffee shops. In
this episode he goes climbing up the famous Bell Tower and hiking
up the famous Marijan Hill. It's nothing but beautiful views of
the entire city of Split from a high distance... |

EP.15 Split (Dioklecijans Palace)
|
aLLeYNe arrives in Split,
a little shaken after the fact that the train leaving before his
was derailed killing 6 and injuring countless others. He and Goga
had to take a bus the last quarter of the way, all the while thanking
God their still alive. Once in Split aLLeYNe was completed thrusted
into medieval times. Mazes of narrow alleys and old buildings modernized
by the latest fashion stores, moms and pops shops, delectable restaurants
and more…oh and of course coffee shops!!! |

EP.14 The Nagibni voz
|
While en route to Split from Zagreb the train that left just before
aLLeYNe's derailed killing 6 people and injuring many others. Our
heart goes out to those that lost their lives and their families.
A little shaken aLLeYNe heads on to Split... meanwhile Temus lets
aLLeYNe know what he's been up to in LimeStone Studios. |

EP.13 Zagreb 2 (Gornji Grad)
|
aLLeYNe is still in Zagreb, and since the Canadian dollar goes
far in Croatia and the quality of clothing goes even further. What
else is left to do? Spend Money! Aside from that aLLeYNe checks
out Gornji Grad (Croatia's Upper Town) an older part of Croatia
that looks over Croatia and spends some time in the town Velika
Gorcia. Next it's the historic town of Split. |

EP.12 Zagreb
|
aLLeYNe arrives in Zagreb.
His fascination with Europe which started in Belgrade only gets more
intense in Zagreb. Colourful buildings, architecture and design,
the history, the culture. Cafes on every street…no Starbucks, no
Second Cup, no Tim Hortons, no coffee to go. One must sit down, talk,
de-stress, relax and enjoy. aLLeYNe may have found a place for his
lazy self!!! |

EP.11 Rakija
|
Rakija…This type of vodka
will lower your fever, put hair on your chest and power your car
if there isn’t a gas station nearby!!! aLLeYNe learns how it's made.
Then he heads off to Zagreb, Croatia. |

EP.10 the Gusle
|
After exploring some of
the nice places Belgrade has to offer aLLeYNe takes time out to learn
about the Gusle and Rakija. The Gusle is a Serbian instrument played
to spoken word type poetry about life, love, loss and struggles…Next

EP.9 Belgrade

Now in High Definition,
after leaving his stop over in Rome, Italy, aLLeYNe arrives in beautiful
Belgrade. The sights, the sounds are all new as he's never been there
before. He walk's through ulica Knez Mihajla and visits Kalemegdan
and old fortress. He hangs out with good friends Ljuban and his wife
Jagoda who are perfect hosts. All this to the tune of classic aLLeYNe
and tEMuS songs. Next episode he learns about the Gusle and Rakija... |

EP.8 jetPLANE
|
Now in High Definition,
aLLeYNe heads to Europe, specifically Serbia and Croatia. In this
video he flaunts the money he needs to change into Euros, heads to
the airport, hops on a plane and since he is scared of flying watches
movies to relax. During the 8 hour flight, He manages to catch the
inflight feature. Muzzle. A video by aLLeYNe and tEMuS. Ok so the
video was recorded with a Canon sure shot digital camera and an Old
Skool Sony Cam-Corder (the one with the big ass tapes…yeah those)
It was their first official video. The editing is amazing and the
video gear has long since upgraded. Anyways, he ends up in Rome for
a stop over then heads to Belgrade…Which is the next episode… |

EP.7 Across the block, ACROSS THE WORLD
|
tEMuS drops his verse for
Across The World and catches aLLeYNe's true reaction. aLLeYNe also
drops his verse for the first time and heads are bopping. Lots of
work, lots of fun. Another classic. The song is for the fans from
across the world who have and continue to support aLLeYNe and tEMuS.
