Push

"...push for something better, push for brighter days and sunny weather, yo we in this together." This CD is probably one of the greatests works ever recorded by aLLeYNe & tEMuS. Mature, confident, aggressive and calm, smooth and bouncy all over jazz and soul over-tones proven to be the real bases of who they are.

Samples are laced with live and real instrumentation making it impossible to differentiate between the two. Alleyne & Temus employ the use of horns, Rhodes, bass guitar and vibes, giving the album a distinctively ethereal feel. Full of charging drums, suave basslines, melodious riffs, complementary horns, and catchy hooks...

Released in 2009 it features a new level of production by aLLeYNe with guests such as Toronto's Trane Studio performace greats (flautist) Jef Kearns & SoJay. It reunites guests from previous albums such as Kaysun, Snagg (Sherrkaan), Shifty Karma (Byron Armstrong), 7 (Krayzee, 7th Seale), 8.0.1.7.3.5. and Spoken Word talent Andrew Rudder.

This is Hip-Hop meets Thelonious Monk.
This is the next album A Tribe Called Quest would of released if they hadn't split up.
This IS Alleyne & Temus.

Dying To Survive

"Dying to Survive" was a pretty dark album. Haunted strings and erie piano's with vocals dealing with religious good vs evil struggles, personal struggles and finding their place in the music industry. Aside from the usual producers Kevlaar, aLLeYNe and tEMuS, Phylline (Phil Griffith) offers up some production which brought a bit of light to the darkness.
